It has been 27 years in the making but UK Nearly history was made in Portugal with Adrian Langham winning his 3rd Championship after a stunning final round at Quinta Peru.
Starting the final round 5 shots behind 1st round, 2nd round and overnight leader Tim Bullman, Adrian played a tremendous last round, drawing on his many years of experience and brushing away the Grandmothers favourite tag and recorded 39 points and win by a massive 7 shots over a fast finishing dual Champion, Mark Stevens in 2nd place, evergreen Vinnie Thompson playing his best ever Nearly Open in 3rd position 11 shots behind and what will go down as possibly, nearly, another missed Champion chance, Tim Bullman in 4th, 12 shots in arrears.
The rest of the field placings are

6th - Elliot Blair
7th - Neil Manley
8th - Stuart McGregor

11th - Martin Langmaid
12th - Stephen Hunt
13th - Colin Webb
14th - Randy Neely

At the other end of the table, The Maurice Flitcroft went to Barry O'Connell (last years Champion??)
followed by another 3 Champions? Mike Gore, Paul McMenemy & Tom Scott followed by Tim Williams, Andrew Ensom, Jon Hill and the final spot went to Sam Wells.
It must be mentioned that Andrew Emson also created not only UK Nearly history but WORLD Nearly history with an unbelievable 1st round of 2 points - quite an an achievement that will take some serious drinking the night before to beat!! He did make a big comeback and comfortably kept his name OUT of the history books for the lowest 4 round total by 6 shots - massive!!
